More than just a radio show, Voice of the Youth Radio (VOTY) became the launchpad for an entire generation of media professionals, voice artists, broadcasters, journalists, and content creators—and it all started way back, under the mentorship and vision of Pocholo “The VoiceMaster” Gonzales.
🎙️ From its relaunch on August 17, 2013, VOTY wasn’t just about airtime—it was a movement. A platform that gave ordinary students a voice, a mic, and a mission. Under the guidance of The VoiceMaster, these students didn’t just join a show—they built careers, formed lifelong networks, and discovered their purpose.
Now, more than a decade later, many of those “VOTY kids” are now anchors, journalists, content creators, influencers, podcasters, and leaders in media and communications. And every one of them can trace their origin back to that radio booth where they were first trained, mentored, and empowered.
💬 As Pocholo always says:
Don’t just use your voice to make a living. Use it to make a difference.

🎤 LEGACY CONTINUES
Many of the voices now heard on TV, radio, podcasts, and digital shows first held a microphone under the VoiceMaster’s wing—not in a classroom, but inside the humble booth of DZIQ during VOTY.
Voice of the Youth Radio wasn’t just a show… it was a training ground. A family. A revolution.
And to this day, the legacy lives on—proof that when you give the youth a voice, you shape the future of the nation.
